AnnMaria DeMars was born on August 15, 1958, at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. She had a huge interest in sports and started judo training at the age of 12. AnnMaria’s love towards judo grew more, and when she turned 16, she had already won a competition at the USJA Junior Nationals.
