Jason Connery is a British director and actor. He is the sole child of renowned Scottish actor Sean Connery and Australian actress Diane Cilento. Jason was born on 11th January 1963 in Rome, Italy. He spent his childhood days in London and Scotland.

Early Life and Education
Jason’s parents were both actors. That gave him a chance to grow up in the environment of film and theatre. He attended Millfield School in Somerset, England. Afterwards, he attended Gordonstoun School in Scotland.
During his time at Gordonstoun, Jason discovered the pleasure of acting. He founded a student society known as the Inter-House Players. He directed plays and played in them as well. He wished to study more, so he attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. The school improved him as an actor.
Jason also performed with the Perth Repertory Company in Scotland. He performed and worked backstage. This enabled him to gain his Equity card, which is required for actors to work in the UK.
Career in Acting
Jason began acting in the early 1980s. His breakthrough came in 1986 when he played the role of Robin Hood in TV series Robin of Sherwood. He replaced another actor playing Robin Hood in the third season.

Jason portrayed Ian Fleming, the author of James Bond, in a TV movie in 1990. This was unique since his father, Sean Connery, was the initial actor to portray James Bond. Jason portrayed Macbeth again in 1997, just like his dad had done in the 1960s.
Career in Directing
After years of performing, Jason transitioned into directing. He directed his first film, Pandemic in 2008. He continued to direct several more films.
His best-known film as a director is Tommy’s Honour (2016). The movie is about golfing greats Old Tom and Young Tom Morris. It was award-winning and received excellent reviews. Jason described it as one of his proudest pieces of work.
Personal Life
Jason married Mia Sara, an American actress, in 1996. Jason and Mia Sara had a son, Dashiell Quinn Connery, in 1997. The couple divorced in 2002. Jason resides in Los Angeles and gets along well with his son.
Jason married Irish singer Fiona Ufton in April 2021. He is still active in film work and enjoys his family life.
