He attended Heritage Hills High School, located in Lincoln City. He played baseball, basketball and football at the school. He led his football squad to the 3A state title in his senior year. He was also selected to the first team all-state basketball.
Cutler attended Vanderbilt University after high school. Cutler played college football, and was one of the greatest quarterbacks in school’s history. He was named Southeastern Conference Offensive player of the year in 2005. He broke several school records including touchdowns and passing yards. In 2016, he received an induction into the Vanderbilt Athletics Hall of Fame.

NFL Career
Cutler was selected by the Denver Broncos during the first round of 2006 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons playing for the Broncos. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2008.
Cutler was traded in 2009 to the Chicago Bears. Cutler played for the Chicago Bears for eight seasons. He broke franchise records in passing yards, touchdowns and completions. He led the Bears into an NFC Championship Game in 2010. In 2017, he spent his last NFL season playing with the Miami Dolphins after leaving the Bears. The Bears named him as one of the 100 greatest players in their history.

Jay Cutler began dating reality TV star Kristin Cavallari in 2009. In 2011, they briefly got engaged, but then called off the engagement. They reconciled later that year. They got married in 2013.

Recent Legal Issues
Cutler was arrested in October 2024 for DUI and possessing a gun while under the influences. His arrest was in the news. Cavallari spoke later about it in her podcast. She said that she wished him luck but wouldn’t comment any further.
