Jennifer Marie Morrison (born on April 12, 1979) is an American actress and director. She is best known for her roles as Dr. Allison Cameron in The House (2004–2012) and Emma Swan Once Upon a Time (2011–2018).
She sharted her career as a child model and got her first film job by 14 when she played the role of Herri in Intersection. The breakthrough to popularity came, however, in the role of Dr. Cameron on the hit show House, playing a smart and compassionate doctor for six seasons. Subsequently, the actress appeared as Emma Swan in the popular show Once Upon a Time, a role that has made her so popular among her audience.
Not satisfied with playing, Jennifer stepped behind the camera, directed Sun Dogs in 2017, and started her own production company. And recently, she has joined the hit drama This Is Us as Cassidy Sharp, bringing to her role a good deal of depth and emotion. Morrison’s career therefore demonstrates that growth and reinvention are possible if you hold on to something for its passion.
As of November 2024, Jennifer Morrison is 45 years and 7 months old, her estimated net worth is $8 million, and she stands at a height of 5 feet 5½ inches (166 cm or 1.66 m) tall.

Net worth 2024
$8 million
As of November 2024, it’s estimated that Jennifer Morrison has a net worth of about $8 million, based on information from different reliable sources.
She has built a diversified career that brings her an income from multiple streams including acting, directing, producing, and endorsement deals. Let’s dive in where she earns money and how much she’s likely made in each avenue.
1. Television Acting
Some of the most memorable work and the most commercially successful characters she has portrayed occur in her major TV roles. Her stint as Dr. Allison Cameron for House (2004–2012) and Emma Swan for Once Upon a Time (2011–2018) greatly contributed to her earnings.
- House: Morrison guest-starred on Fox’s juggernaut hit House for six seasons. Guest stars on the hot, big-primetime show late in a season can make anywhere from $100,000 to $300,000 per episode. Morrison probably earned on the higher end of that scale because she played a leading character on the show. Maybe she could have commanded as much as $5–10 million for her episodes on House.
- Once Upon a Time: She had the lead for six seasons. That means, in a time when Once Upon a Time was getting popular, she could have commanded as high as $175,000 and $250,000 per episode. If we assume at least 22 episodes per season, then she will likely earn as much as about $20 million from this show during its run.
2. Earning from Films
Since her filmography is shorter than her television work, here are some films and movies that she has appeared in:
- Star Trek (2009): Morrison played Winona Kirk, the mother of James T. Kirk. Although it wasn’t a major part, being in such a huge franchise would have paid her a handsome amount. Supporting actors in big blockbuster movies earn between $500,000 and $1 million.
- Other Films: She appeared in other films including Warrior (2011) and The Report (2019). These ones would go into her overall check but must have only been contributing a few tens of thousands of dollars at most, compared to the money brought by her TV shows. Her film earnings must be around $2–3 million.
3. Filmmaking and Production
She stepped behind the camera to direct her first film, Sun Dogs (2017), something she produced through her company, Apartment 3C Productions. While work behind the camera is still in development, this shift into producing and directing is yet another opportunity for her to increase the number of revenue streams.
- Sun Dogs: As a director and producer, she would have collected money not only from the production but could have collected money from any profit generated by that film through the streaming platforms and distribution deals. Despite not being the box office hit, she probably went home with some small, passive income on Netflix or other streaming providers.
- Creation: Morrison’s production company can provide long-term financial gains as she can go on producing feature films and probably short films and television shows as well. The director/producer can get from $100,000 to several million dollars just depending on how well the film would do; it is not farfetched to hypothesize that what she could have earned in this venture must be in the range of a few hundred thousand dollars up to $1 million.
4. Endorsements and Public Appearances
Like other face-recognition celebrities, Morrison has also made some amount of money through brand endorsement and public appearances at conventions, among many other activities.
- Endorsements: Jennifer has no significant endorsement deals, but in the fashion industry, she is involved, particularly with the Met Gala, therefore, likely, she has collaborated with fashion houses. For a simple endorsement deal, A-listers would collect a sum of hundreds of thousands of dollars if not more; Morrison’s low-key public life probably earns her between $500,000.
- Convention Appearances: Shows like Once Upon a Time have rabid fan bases, and actors can earn big by appearing at these events. Maybe Morrison earned $50,000–$100,000 per appearance at such events, depending on scale and location.
5. Residuals and Royalties
Since Morrison is working in popular TV shows and films, she must be raking money regularly through residual incomes. Residuals in television and film parlance refer to income generated by actors when shows and films are syndicated for streaming, DVD/Blu-ray sales, etc.
House and Once Upon a Time are also highly rerun and on the major streaming services, including Hulu and Disney+. Though residual payments of course are always specific to each performance, the ability for actors to earn tens of thousands, in some cases hundreds of thousands, per year depends on how many times their work is internally viewed. Morrison’s combined residuals from both shows could easily be in the ballpark of $500,000 per year.
