Passing and Legacy
John Diamond died due to complications of oral cancer on March 2, 2001 at 47 years old while filming one of Nigella Lawson’s cooking shows. She nonetheless returned two weeks later despite her personal grief, showing an incredible level of resilience despite such tragedy.
Nigella kept press clippings about Morbido after his passing in what she called her “Morbidobox” to memorialize their memories together.
