Martin Ciccone was born in 1957 to Silvio Anthony “Tony” Ciccone and Madonna Louise Fortin of Michigan. Silvio had Italian descent and worked at Chrysler and General Motors while Madonna Fortin provided care for their large family.
Martin is one of eight siblings. His siblings include Anthony, Madonna, Paula, Christopher, Melanie, Jennifer and Mario. Their mother died in 1963; shortly thereafter their father remarried Joan Gustafson who helped raise their children.
