Nicholas was born to Jean-Claude Van Damme and Darcy LaPier, a model and actress. He is the child of his dad, who gained international fame through action movies, such as Bloodsport and Kickboxer in the 1980s and 1990s, dubbed “The Muscles from Brussels.”
Nicholas has two half-siblings by his father’s earlier relationships:

Life in the limelight is no cakewalk. October 2018 saw Nicholas under legal scrutiny for an incident regarding his roommate. He was sent to 18 months of probation after he pulled a knife on his roommate at their apartment in Phoenix, Arizona, in a squabble.
Initially, he was charged with serious crimes, such as kidnapping and drug possession. However, these charges were dropped in a plea bargain. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct instead.
Despite this setback, Nicholas is working on rebuilding his life and career.

Nicholas is not just all about movies and action. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his siblings. Fitness and martial arts are also part of his life, as they were of his father’s.
