Tana Ramsay was born Cayetana Elizabeth Hutcheson on August 23, 1974 in Croydon, South London. She spent much of her childhood years on a farm near Kent where she trained as a Montessori teacher after finishing school. Tana Ramsay developed an avid passion for food and cooking as she aged. Her first cookbook, Tana Ramsay’s Family Kitchen, became an instantaneous success; then came Tana Ramsay’s Kitchen Secrets which garnered even greater acclaim – helping build her name separate from that of her famous husband in the food world.

Meeting Gordon Ramsay

Tana and Gordon first met when Tana was 18 years old and dating one of his friends at the time. Quickly thereafter, however, Tana and Gordon started dating each other as quickly became romantic partners; eventually marrying on December 21, 1996 after their strong bond had cemented.

Tana joined Dancing on Ice as part of its third season and showed her humorous side on the ice rink. Additionally, she has worked as presenter on UKTV’s Market Kitchen show that explores food and cooking.

Since 2015, Tana has made regular appearances in Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch on CBBC as Matilda’s mother Tana Ramsay starring alongside Gordon Ramsay and their children as they embark on fun family adventures together.
