Tautvilas Tubelis was born on March 22, 2002, in Vilnius, Lithuania. He grew up in a sports-loving family. The two brothers, Tautvilas and Ažuolas, started to love basketball when they were very young. Their father is Linas Tubelis, and their mother’s name is not known to the public. The mother even flew 6,000 miles to surprise the brothers during their college time, just to prove how much she cares for her boys.
The two brothers Tautvilas and Ažuolas are teammates as well. Both of them chose to play for the Arizona Wildcats of the University of Arizona. That made them the first Lithuanian student-athletes at the school since Robertas Javtokas in 2000.
College Career
Tautvilas went off to play in his first level college basketball in University of Arizona in joining the Wildcats; played all college games playing a forward but often played somewhat minimized minutes considering this sibling relation especially comparing that against the shining stars playing for Arizona more significantly-the his brother’s sibling.
In the 2020-21 season, Tautvilas played in five games but scored only one point. In the following season, 2021-22, he played in 14 games and scored four points in total. Though Tautvilas did not get much time on the court, he continued to work hard to improve his game.
Tautvilas was still on the team in the 2022-23 season, though he still could not get much more playing time. He continued to be on the roster, proving himself as a loyal player and an improving one as well.
