Leila was brought up in the UK and Australia. Her mother brought her up in a small town in Brighton, England, called Hurstpierpoint.
Her father, Vincent D’Onofrio, is perhaps most famous for television programs such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Her mother, Greta Scacchi, is famous for films such as The Player.

In 2024, media reported that she was seeing Ben Robson, her Animal Kingdom co-star.
What Else She Does
Leila is an environmentalist. Following the 2019–2020 bushfires in Australia, she assisted in organizing a fundraiser at the Los Angeles Zoo. Funds went towards nature and wildlife conservation.
