Early Life
Regina was born on February 5, 1968, in Havlíčkův Brod, a town in the present-day Czech Republic. At that time, it belonged to Czechoslovakia. She was brought up in a small town but had huge aspirations.
Regina was sporty as a child and enjoyed sports. She began playing tennis since childhood. She worked hard and became excellent.

Tennis Career
Regina turned professional as a tennis player in the 1980s. She competed in major matches globally. On April 1, 1991, she achieved her highest singles ranking: No. 26 in the world. She also had a No. 45 doubles ranking in 1990.
Her greatest moment was in the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics. She represented Czechoslovakia and played singles but lost in the first round. It was nonetheless a great privilege to play in the Olympics.
She made it to the quarterfinals in the women’s doubles in the French Open in 1990 with Andrea Temesvári. She won two ITF singles titles and three ITF doubles titles throughout her career.
Regina retired in 1993.
Marriage and Family
Regina got acquainted with Petr Korda, also a Czech tennis player, while playing tennis. Petr rose to become a famous name in the field of tennis. Petr was a winner of the 1998 Australian Open and a former World No. 2 ranked player.

Regina married Petr during the early 1990s. They shifted to Bradenton, Florida, in the United States after retirement. They later became U.S. citizens.
They had three children together — Jessica, Nelly, and Sebastian. All three were professional athletes.

Jessica Korda
Jessica is the eldest. She is a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour. She has won numerous tournaments, including the 2012 Women’s Australian Open.
Jessica was absent from golf in 2023 due to a back injury. She gave birth to a child in early 2024. She is married to real estate developer Johnny DelPrete.
Nelly Korda
Nelly is the second child and best known. She competes on the LPGA Tour and achieved World No. 1 status. She won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Sebastian Korda
