Petr Korda is a retired Czech tennis player. He is most famous for having won the 1998 Australian Open. He was at one time the world No. 2. Today he is known by many as the father of golfer Nelly Korda.

Petr enjoyed a long and productive tennis career. He took home 10 singles and 10 doubles titles. His greatest victory was in 1998 when he defeated Marcelo Ríos to capture the Australian Open.
In 1992, he was runner-up in the French Open. He nearly won more Grand Slams. In February 1998, he was at his peak rank of No. 2 in the world.
He was to face a drug ban later in the year after testing positive for a prohibited substance. He retired from playing tennis in 2005.

Petr is married to Regina Rajchrtová. She too was a former tennis player. She represented Czechoslovakia in the 1988 Olympics. Her career best world ranking was No. 26.
Petr and Regina retired and moved to Florida, USA, after their retirement. They became American citizens and started their family there.
Daughter – Nelly Korda
