Early Life and Family
Andrew Dorff was born on December 16, 1976, in Los Angeles, California. He was the child of Steve Dorff, a Grammy- and Emmy-nominated award-winning songwriter, and Nancy Dorff, a psychologist.
Andrew had two half-sisters, Callie Dorff and Kaitlyn Dorff, from his father’s second marriage. His older brother, Stephen Dorff, was a famous actor who has been featured in films such as Blade and Immortals.
As a child, Andrew would frequently go to Nashville with his father. Music surrounded him everywhere, and he soon realized that he wanted to be a songwriter.
Career in Songwriting
Andrew initially attempted recording and touring as a singer. But he eventually decided to specialize in writing songs only. His decision proved to be correct.
