Early Life
Rohan Bopanna plays tennis and has done so since he was 11 years old. His father wanted him to do a sport that he could do by himself, so he chose tennis. M. G. Bopanna and Malika Bopanna are Rohan’s parents. They live in Coorg, India, and help him with his career. Rohan looked up to Stefan Edberg, and in 2002, he played his first Davis Cup match for India. In 2003, he turned pro, and in Bengaluru, at Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, he finished his education.
Professional Career
In 2002, Rohan Bopanna debuted with the Indian Davis Cup Team. In 2003, he became a professional tennis player.
At the 2007 Hopman Cup, Rohan distinguished himself as one of India’s best doubles players. Even though he lost his first singles match, it helped him and Sania Mirza defeat the Czech Republic 2-1 in the championship match.
In 2008, Rohan and Eric Butorac won the Countrywide Classic Men’s Doubles Championship. This became his first ATP doubles championship.
In 2009, the tennis player qualified successfully for the Chennai Open. He was unsuccessful in the first round.
In 2010, Rohan’s career was defined. This year, he played doubles with Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. The Indo-Pak Express is the name of their partnership. By winning the Johannesburg Open, they won their first ATP doubles title. At the Wimbledon Championships, they reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in their careers. In the quarterfinals of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, the formidable duo even defeated the world’s top pair, the Bryan brothers.
Rohan achieved his dream of winning a Grand Slam in 2017. After being disqualified from the US Open finals in 2010, Rohan qualified for the French Open finals in 2017. Rohan and Gabriel Dabrowski took home the Mixed Doubles trophy at the Open. This victory enabled Rohan to become the fourth Indian male to win the Grand Slam.
In 2018, Rohan and Timea Babos entered the Australian Open. They successfully advanced to the finals. Sadly, they were defeated by Mate Pavic and Gabriela Dabrowski.

Rohan Bopanna also got married to the person he loved. He is married to a psychologist, Supriya Annaiah. The tennis player met Supriya, who was 24 years old, through the cousin-brother.
