Adithyaa was born on March 4, 1984, in Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu. His parents are Krishnamachari Srikkanth and Vidya Srikkanth. He has one younger brother, Anirudha Srikkanth.
Anirudha too played cricket. He played for Tamil Nadu and even played for the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is now a cricket commentator.
