Early Life and Background
Debbie was born Deborah Rae Nelson on 6th January 1955. She was born in a military base, Kansas, USA. Her parents were Betty Hixson and Bob Nelson. Later, Debbie also grew up in Missouri. At a mere age of 15, she married Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr. He was Eminem’s father.
Giving Birth to Eminem
Debbie had Marshall Bruce Mathers III, who later came to be known as Eminem. The delivery was extremely difficult. It took 72 hours, and she almost died. Eminem was also born ill and very tiny. He spent some time in the hospital after birth. This marked the beginning of a difficult life for mother and son.
Growing Up Alone
