José Carlos was born in 1931 in Salamanca, Spain. His parents were from the rural area. His father was a cattle rancher by profession. They resided in a small town named Guijuelo. His mother’s name was Flora Doussinague Brunet. She had Basque and Catalan origins, and there were some members of the family with English and Irish descent as well.
He was a businessman, but he did not work always in the same occupation. He had many job changes. This was difficult for his family.
