Michael J. Fox (born on June 9, 1961) is a well-known Canadian-American actor, activist, and author. He started acting as a child and became famous in the 1980s for his roles in the TV show Family Ties and the Back to the Future movies.
Some of his famous movies are Teen Wolf, The Secret of My Success, Casualties of War, Doc Hollywood, and The Frighteners. He also gave his voice to the main characters in the Stuart Little movies and Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
In 1991, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Because of this he took a break from acting and focused on advocacy. In 2000, he started the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to fund research and raise awareness about the same disease he has.
