Patrick Cantlay was born on March 17, 1992, in Long Beach, California. He began playing golf at a young age and was a highly successful junior golfer. He attended Servite High School in Anaheim, California, where he was a two-time CIF Southern Section champion.

College Life

Cantlay then attended UCLA, where he played college golf for the Bruins. He was a two-time first-team All-American, and in 2011, he won the Haskins Award, which is given to the top male college golfer in the United States.
